I had a mixed experience during my stay. The location was fantastic, though it was at the top of a big hill. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the cleanliness left much to be desired. Overall, it's a decent budget option, but there are areas that definitely need improvement.

My stay at Mathias Hostel Budapest was quite disappointing. While the location had a nice view and was near the Citadella, the lack of cleanliness and uncomfortable beds overshadowed any positives. I wouldn't recommend it for a comfortable stay.
